book about relationship between father and son

Pretty much what the title says—I’m trying to find books that really focus on the father/son relationship. I watched Beautiful Boy first, and then I found out it was based on a book with the same title, so honestly I kind of wish I’d read the book instead of the movie. Any suggestions you’ve got are good with me, whether they’re more sad or more upbeat or anything in between. Looking forward to hearing what you recommend—thanks for taking the time to reply!
