The Hawthorne Legacy

I read the first one, *The Inheritance Games*, and I really liked it. The plot was solid and the ending had a good cliffhanger. I figured the second book, *The Hawthorne Legacy*, would be just as good, but instead it felt like it got totally changed. I’m not going into details, but it honestly started to feel like fan fiction. I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it, and in my opinion it would’ve worked better as a standalone.
