Ethan Frome

Just finished *Ethan Frome*—first Edith Wharton book I’ve read. I really liked it, and I know I’m going to be stuck thinking about the themes for a bit. While I was reading, I kept getting reminded of *Anna Karenina*. I looked it up and apparently there’s no proof Wharton took anything from it, but they apparently cover some similar stuff. Did anyone else feel that same connection while reading?
