Public reader discussion about Lady into Fox in the WeRead Catalog by David Garnett.

I know I said no kids books, but fantasy is okay. I’m just really into foxes, and it seems like every book that has/mentions them is written for like 8-year-olds, which is kinda annoying. Nonfiction works though.

Hey everyone! I’m trying to find some magical realism novels, but the book club rule is super strict—under 300 pages (I can stretch to 320). So most of the “big” ones I keep hearing about (things like Midnight’s Children, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Beloved, etc.) seem like they’re out since they’re way too long. From a quick search, these are the ones I’ve come across: - Kitchen (Banana Yoshimoto) - Like Water for Chocolate (Laura Esquivel) - The Lost Steps (Alejo Carpentier) - Kafka on the Beach (Haruki Murakami) I honestly don’t really know any of them. Do these actually count as magical realism? And if they don’t, what else would fit the page limit? Thanks a lot!

Hey! I’m looking for fiction book recommendations, preferably ones with foxes.
