Favorite Novel Written by a Poet?
By frozenCrown6
I just finished On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong, and I honestly can’t stop thinking about how good poetry-focused writers are at putting words together. The way they get their feelings across feels kind of unreal to me. Like, sure, I’m into poetry already, but it still blows my mind when someone can do a whole novel without losing that same vibe and quality. Vuong is one of my favorite poets, and reading his book I kept wondering how he pulled off adapting to that format so well. Curious what everyone else’s favorites are though—and what makes you like them?
