I want to read mystery but I've only ever liked Tana French. Please help :'(

Thanks everyone for all the comments! I really appreciate the recs :) I’m going to hit up my library tomorrow and dig around to see what they’ve got, then I’ll go from there. Also, for anyone into *The Secret History*—yes, I’ve read it and I loved it, so I feel like I’m already in the right lane lol. Hi all! I’m a big fan of mystery shows/movies/games and I always end up wanting to read a mystery novel too. But I’ve tried a bunch and, honestly, I’ve only really liked Tana French. I’m such a fan that I’ve reread all her books like four times, and it’s starting to feel a little embarrassing. Could someone suggest something that’s similar? I’m not super clued in on all the mystery tropes or whatever, but I know what I like about Tana French is the police procedural side. I love when interrogations drag on for ages, and when there are super detailed autopsies, and then the whole phone records/texts digging-for-answers thing for another chunk of time. When I look up stuff like *Dublin Murder Squad*, people mostly compare atmosphere/themes/style, which is fine—I do like that—but what I’m really craving is the kind of scene where the crime tech is basically explaining exactly what they found on the coffee table for like three chapters. I’ve tried Val McDermid and Dervla McTiernan and a few other random library picks, but none of them really hit the spot. I just started *The Secret Place* again and I swear I’m going to lose my mind if I can’t find something else soon.
